I’m Running Low On Disk Space What Can I Remove? It’s An Hp Laptop?

I’m really pissed because I’ve deleted most of my videos music, photos the things ive added over time to create space which did practically nothing and the things still popping up to tell me i’m running low on disk space. I have an hp laptop there so much crap on it its mostly computer updates and things the computer apparently uses. Most of which I have no idea what it does so obv I cant remove things if I don’t know what they do in case I stop it the computer from working. I’ve done disk clean up and defrag. Things I’m wondeing if I need are silverlight, java, synaptics device, and roxio. What are they for? As this is the first time i’ve ever owned a computer so i’m still learning about it so sorry if this is a stupid question.

My System Does Not Support Microsoft Silverlight For Netflix, Anyway To Get Around This?

I signed up for Netflix so I can watch movies on the computer, and then find out that silverlight does not support my system. Kind of defeats the purpose.

Career Switch To Software Engineer?

I’m an online course designer/developer with just a little experience working with Javascript/HTML/ASP/XML/PHP/and some others.
Work in my field is there but not like it used to be and furthermore the salaries haven’t risen much in the last TEN YEARS.
If I made a move to application development. What should I focus on? Do I need a degree, certification, portfolio?
What you would study if you were considering this? C+, JavaSomething, Silverlight, ??
